90% people are disappointed when they find out the reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does &quot;apartment for renovation&quot; really mean?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We are talking about municipal apartments (from the city).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scheme is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the city is giving away an old apartment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>she is often in very bad condition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You do the repairs entirely at your own expense.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After the renovation, you can live there at a preferential rent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes the rent is actually below market value.<br>But the apartment <strong>does not become your property<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is important.<br>You don&#039;t buy it.<br>You rent from the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important: The program does not apply throughout Poland.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Many people think that \u00abapartment for renovation\u00bb is a government program throughout the country.<br>This is a mistake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Poland, there is no single program that works the same everywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each city and even small town decides for itself:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>whether to run such a program or not<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How many apartments should be allocated?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>who to give them to<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>under what conditions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What are the income requirements?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What documents are needed?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In one city the program can work actively,<br>in another it is not there at all,<br>and in the third, the queue is closed for years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In small towns the chances are higher<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>in the middle - limited<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In Warsaw, Krakow, and Wroclaw, it&#039;s almost impossible to get such an apartment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, you can\u2019t just read the article and decide:<br>\u00ab&quot;I&#039;ll go to Poland and rent an apartment for renovation.&quot;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You always need to look at the specific city and the actual conditions there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who gets such apartments?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Now it&#039;s reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First of all, apartments are given to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>citizens of Poland<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>people with permanent residence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>those who have been standing in line for a long time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>people with low incomes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are a foreigner without permanent residence -<br>chances of getting such an apartment <strong>very small<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not zero, but close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Queues - years of waiting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Many people think:<br>I came to the office \u2192 wrote an application \u2192 received an apartment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In some cities, people are standing in line:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sometimes 10 years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>And this is without a guarantee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In large cities it is almost impossible.<br>In small ones there is a chance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How much does the repair cost?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Now comes the most interesting part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apartments are often handed over in the following condition:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>without repair<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>without a kitchen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>with old pipes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sometimes after difficult tenants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Real repair:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>50,000 \u2013 150,000 zlotys<\/strong><br>sometimes more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And this is your money.<br>The city does not compensate for anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The main myth: &quot;received and sold&quot;\u00ab<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>No.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This apartment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>it is forbidden <a href=\"https:\/\/rutkowskihome.pl\/en\/uslugi\/pokupka-i-prodazha-nedvizhimosti\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"16\">sell<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>cannot be rewritten<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>you can&#039;t make money on resale<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You only receive the right to rent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why do many people refuse?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When people learn reality:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>queue years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the apartment is not yours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>tens of thousands need to be invested<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>can&#039;t be sold<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the area is often weak<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>they understand:<br><a href=\"https:\/\/rutkowskihome.pl\/en\/uslugi\/pokupka-i-prodazha-nedvizhimosti\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"16\">It&#039;s easier to buy your own apartment<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When it makes sense<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes this option is normal if:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>I have permanent residence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have you been living in Poland for a long time?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ready to wait<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ready to invest<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>do you plan to live long?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As an investment -
