Social housing (lokal socjalny)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The cheapest option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Intended for people:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>with very low income<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>in a difficult life situation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sometimes after eviction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>large families without housing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The rent there is symbolic \u2013 sometimes 100\u2013400 zlotys per month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the conditions are appropriate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Communal housing from the city (mieszkanie komunalne)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>These are ordinary municipal apartments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>below market rent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>you can live for many years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sometimes normal condition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sometimes requires repair<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a more realistic and normal option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the queue is long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important: There is no uniform system throughout Poland.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As with apartments for renovations -<br>In Poland there is no single program for the whole country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each city decides for itself:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>who to provide housing to<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How many apartments are there?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What are the income limits?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What are the requirements?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>how long to wait<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a chance in one city,<br>in another, the queue is closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is provided with social housing?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>First of all:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>citizens of Poland<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>people with permanent residence\/temporary residence permit (by-pass card)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>people with very low incomes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>large families<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>disabled people<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>people in difficult situations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are a foreigner without permanent residence\/temporary residence -<br>It is almost impossible to obtain such housing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You must live legally in Poland and have permanent status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Repatriation housing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is an important point that is little written about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People coming to Poland under the repatriation program,<br>often have <strong>priority for housing from the commune<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are a repatriate:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>you may be provided with a communal apartment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sometimes temporary housing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sometimes help with rent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It all depends on the specific commune<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>But this is not an automatic apartment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The city must have a housing fund.<br>If you don\u2019t have it, they can give you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>dormitory<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>temporary housing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>rental assistance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In small towns the chances are better,<br>than in large ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Income requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The paradox of the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To get social housing,<br>must have <strong>not too high income<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you earn a lot -<br>they will tell you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>You can rent or buy it yourself.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>If the income is too high, refusal.<br>If it is too low, they may also refuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each city sets its own limits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Queues<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The harshest reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Queues:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2\u20135 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sometimes 8\u201310 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>in large cities even more<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>And this is without a guarantee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can stand in line and still not get it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does such housing look like?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>People often think that these are new apartments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most often it is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>old houses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>simple apartments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sometimes after repairs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sometimes in weak areas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>basic level<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not an investment or a \u00abEuropean-style renovation\u00bb.<br>This is housing for living.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is it possible to buy the apartment later?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes - yes.<br>But not always.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depends on the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some communes allow redemption after years of rent.<br>Some don&#039;t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no universal rule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The main honest conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Social and communal housing exists in Poland.<br>But this is not a quick or easy way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reality:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>queue years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the requirements are strict<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>it&#039;s difficult for foreigners<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>give first of all to their own<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the conditions are modest<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The chances are higher for repatriation,<br>but it also depends on the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To be honest as a realtor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For most foreigners from the CIS, it is faster and easier:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>rent a place to live<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/rutkowskihome.pl\/en\/uslugi\/pokupka-i-prodazha-nedvizhimosti\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"16\">buy a small apartment<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/rutkowskihome.pl\/en\/uslugi\/ipotechnoe-soprovozhdenie\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"18\">take out a mortgage<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>buy in the suburbs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Than wait for years for a social apartment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But situations vary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are moving to Poland, repatriating or planning to buy a home -
